COVID-19 Update: HOMRICH has implemented a stringent COVID-19 response plan in compliance with local and CDC guidelines.  This includes training for all employees on best practices to prevent the spread of the virus.  Restrictions are enforced in our facilities and on all project sites.

At HOMRICH, “Safety 24/7” is our primary objective.  Our commitment to achieving ZERO incidents is a task we do not take lightly.  We start from day one with each team member to ingrain safety in our culture. To accomplish this goal, our Safety Management team utilizes a robust training program, frequent engagement with regulators, regular job site audits, a Safety Based Observation (SBO) Program, state of the art equipment, quality Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and a Stop Work Authority program that empowers every employee to shut down an activity that they believe presents a hazard.

HOMRICH employs an in-house safety and training staff, directed by our Manager of Safety and Training, to provide HOMRICH employees a minimum of 40 hours of training annually.  Training includes but is not limited to:

  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER
  • 30 Hour OSHA
  • 10 Hour OSHA
  • Asbestos Supervisor
  • Asbestos Worker
  • Lead & Cadmium
  • Respirable Crystalline Silica
  • Respiratory Protection Awareness
  • First Aid, CPR, AED

In addition to maintaining and regularly updating the HOMRICH Corporate Safety Program, a detailed Site-Specific Safety Plan is developed for each project which includes safeguards to prevent incidents and guidance on addressing unforeseen hazards.  Safety briefings are conducted in accordance with the plan, prior to the start of each shift, to review the scheduled activities for the day and associated risks.  HOMRICH not only utilizes internal systems to promote a safe work environment, but also works closely with local regulators, inviting representatives to project sites for voluntary audits ensuring ongoing compliance.

Safety applies not only to our personnel but to the HOMRICH fleet of equipment. Strict maintenance schedules, equipment replacement policies, and certified mechanics ensure that the HOMRICH fleet operates efficiently and safely when it arrives at the job site.
